Sprout is unveiling a new wrap this week! The Spanish Rice and Chorizo Tempeh Wrap is made with Spanish rice with mixed peppers, onions and celery, baked chorizo tempeh with a smoked paprika hummus. I can’t wait to try it! You can your order food delivery anywhere in Korea or pick up in HBC, Seoul.

Our first cooking class was this past Saturday and everyone had a great time! Thank you to everyone who came and participated! It looks like all of the classes are full but if you are interested in joining one of the remaining three cooking classes send us an email and we will put you on the waiting list if anyone cancels.

Did you ever wonder why Sprout uses Quinoa in a lot of our salad bowls? Quinoa, pronounced ‘keen-wa’ is a great wheat-free alternative to starchy grains. The UN named 2013 ‘International Quinoa Year’ in recognition of the crop’s high nutrient content. With twice the protein content of rice or barley, quinoa is also a very good source of calcium, magnesium and manganese. It also contributes useful levels of several B vitamins, vitamin E and dietary fibre. Quinoa is among the least allergenic of all the ‘grains’, making it a fantastic wheat-free choice. Like buckwheat, quinoa has an excellent amino acid profile, as it contains all nine essential amino acids making it a complete-protein source. Quinoa is therefore an excellent choice for vegans.
